In 2019, the Cordova Community Foundation became the 11th statewide Affiliate under the Alaska Community Foundation. Hiring Program Manager Julie Reynolds in October started the ball rolling on community events. And now, in December, they welcome their 8th Advisory Board member, Allen Roemhildt.
Journeyman Mechanic at the Cordova Electric Cooperative for seven years, Allen was born in Hawaii and raised in Cordova, Alaska. Married to Katie Jo Roemhildt, they have three adorable children. Allen is an active community member having served on the Planning Commission and as shop steward with the Alaska IBEW. His strong attention to detail benefited the Advisory Board at his very first meeting! About joining the Cordova Community Foundation Advisory Board, Allen said, “I know a good thing when I see it and I couldn’t pass up this experience. I am happy to be part of what I feel will have lasting positive impact for years to come.” We are thrilled to add his perspective and energy to our team. Welcome, Allen!
